Hi Meleah,

Which strains will work for yoghurt:

I can buy two different cultures:

one starter culture for yoghurt containing

Bifido Bacterium,

L. acid,

Strep. Thermophilus,

L. Delbrueckii

and the other starter culture containing:

Bifido Bacterium

L. Acid,

Strep. Thermophilus

Then there is a probiotic which a lady has told me can also be used as a starter

culture for yoghurt containing:

L. acidophilus

L. Brevis

L. Paracasei

L. Plantarum

L. Rhamnosus

would you suggest these?

Please help.

The other question I have is whether I need to check with the farmer/manucturer

of the goat yoghurt which bacteria strains he uses in his starter culture for

his goat yoghurt.

I would be making a goat yoghurt from goat milk and goat yoghurt as the starter

as Elaine describes in the book.

Thanks

Tina

vitamin supplement

Hi

I would like to start my son on multivitamins and the Quin B strong with Vit C

and Zinc that Elaine talks about in BTVC.

I have browsed through the Freeda Vitamin Co website and see the SCD legal

multivitamins and the Quin B Stong is the adult formulation.

Do you recommend I give my son the appropriate dosage and use these adult

formulations. Or are there alternative children formulations anyone is aware of.

I live in South Africa so I would need to mailorder.

thanks

I use the Progurt starter from Gi Pro Health. You can order it from their web

site. I have used it for goat and cow yogurt.
