Hi Leah,

I think you're going to have to add it to slightly warm water..... mix well,

then re-chill.

If that doesn't work, maybe you could contact Tropical Traditions and ask them

for tips.

How's doing?

Coconut Concentrate

I have the Tropical Traditions Coconut Concentrate and wanted to try

giving some coconut milk by reconstituting a few tsp with water.

Unfortunately I haven't been very successful. The Concentrate is a

solid so I've tried melting it in the microwave 1st then adding it to

water. When I do that it goes back to a solid and I end up with a

drink with clumps in it. It tastes good, but won't drink it

with the clumps in there. Any suggestions?

Have you tried warming it to dissolve the clumps, or whizzing it through the

blender, or both?

Is this coconut concentrate the same thing as coconut cream that Patty mentioned

a couple of days ago, or something different?

Any time the mixture is rechilled the coconut cream hardens. When I put it in

the refrigerator to cool it down after mixing with warm water, the whole cup of

coconut milk becomes solid. This has been our experience.

Wow..... this is a dilemma. Maybe someone needs to ask Tropical Traditions

how the heck people are supposed to use this stuff. Maybe it will only work

well as a smoothie base... first reconstituting it with warm water in the

blender, then adding frozen fruit chunks to it... for something that you sort of

want to be thickish anyway. Or, I guess it would be great for soups.

I'm pretty sure it's the same stuff. Very tasty.even with the clumps:-)

I'll try adding it to warm water then cooling more slowly in the fridge.

Thanks!
