Guest guest
Elaine says that bacon, so long as it doesn't have extra crap like soy sauce in it (don't give oscar meyer), is fine. The reason is that the sugar is in such minute amounts that the residue is destroyed by cooking. I called up several bacon manufactures and they all said the same thing. The amount of sugar is something like one tablespoon for every five tons of bacon, making the amount in a serving tiny indeed. We get the Canadian Maple bacon from Costco. neizanunez wrote: Hello, my son loves bacon but I want to make sure Im careful giving it him. (I tried it and reacted) Elaine said you can have conventional bacon once a week (enabling families to eat out once in a while). We use Maple Leaf 33% less salt. No sugar at all. It's at Loblaws and Dominion. Carol F. SCD 7 years,

Guest guest
You may wish to try this sight in ordering sugar free bacon from local harvest. I have tried this and it is excellent. http://www.localharvest.org/store/item.jsp?id=2417 > Hello, > my son loves bacon but I want to make sure Im careful giving it him. > Does anybody know where I can get sugar free /sodium free organic > bacon ? > > Thank YOu > Neiza > mother to Javi - 2 weeks on diet > > > > > > > --------------------------------- > Don't get soaked. Guest guest
The bacon is frozen. I don't remember the brand but I have ten of them in my freezer at home. I think it's Prairie Farms, maybe. > >Reply-To: pecanbread >To: pecanbread >Subject: RE: Re: Where to buy Sugar free Bacon !! >Date: Thu, 15 Mar 2007 07:58:15 -0800 > >I buy the bacon from Whole Foods.
