I HAVE A DATE TOO!!!

Okay everyone, don't kill me...

I sent my package FEDEX on Thursday and Saturday afternoon got an

email telling me I was approved and might be able to get a date in

November!!!!! Please keep in mind that I was very thorough in my

package, I am a very healthy surgery candidate and I am self-pay. I

think it will be the hospital vs. , but I am willing to risk the

potential higher costs. I send good thoughts out to all of you still

waiting, don't worry it will happen.

My mom and I will be going together and since we would be missing

Thanksgiving at home with my stepfather and grandmother, we are

waiting for their blessing on taking that date. I know the answer

will be a resounding yes, but since it makes our small family

gathering even smaller, we wanted to run it past them first. You

know, at least let them know that we did think of them being alone on

the holiday. I suggested we all go, but mom does not think grandma

can make the trip (plus we would have to bring the dog). I called my

grandmother right away (she has been obese her entire life and wanted

to pay for my surgery when she found out I was denied by insurance)

and she understood completely and was fine with the date. One more

to go.

Thank you again to everyone who helped me as a contact and to the

staff and Dr. R. for responding so quickly to my earlier call and my

emails.
