Jacks check up

Hi everyone,

I just took Jack in for his latest check up. At first I wasn't going to

post

because Jack is really well but then I thought we should share the good

and

the bad. Sometimes I feel guilty that I am so thankful he doesn't have

as

many of the problems as others but you know if I was a newly diagnosed

parent of a cfer I would like to know that some kids are quite good.

Jack was slow to gain weight at first but is doing well now. He hasn't

been

admitted and his lungs have stayed clear. He has chest physio each day,

takes enzymes and vitamins. He's a real bundle of energy..and really

tired

me out today.

Fiona mo Jack 14 mths wcf & 24 weeks pregnant.

Unfortunately we live in the southern hemisphere - so we'll be heading into

winter not summer!

But with the temperature as high as 43 degrees we have to worry about fluids

and salt replacement we'll be glad of the cooler change.

Sorry, I did know that & simply forgot that. It is wonderful that we are

just chatting away with folks around the world. Just thinking about that ,

brings me back to reality. Remember I am 71+ years old. I remember when TV

was new. I was in high school --heehee..I still feel oh, ------about 50 yrs.

:):):) I am glad that it will be a little easier on Jack. best wishes for

even better days ahead

That is great news Fiona! I hope people do feel free to share the good as well

as the bad. We usually get good news ourselves but are having a little rough

patch right now. It would be a very depressing list if all we heard was bad

news! Thanks so much for sharing! And you don't need to feel guilty but I know

how you feel.
