Guest guest
Help. My daughter has been constipated most of her young life (3 years). She has been doing SCD for about a week. She stools god softer right from the start. Then they got softer. Now she has green diarrhea and lots of it. This does not seem to be a better thing. Does anyone know if this is to be expected and how I should handle it? Thanks! Annette
Guest guest
This is most likely releated to bacterial die-off and will be temporary. The are BIG changes that go on in the beginning. She needs to clear out a lot of toxins and waste products. I highly, HIGHLY recommend soup broth.... especially any you can make from bones and cook at least 24 hrs. There are lots of vital nutrients, mineral and protein (from collagen, etc.) that come from the bones that are very healing to the gut. You're using all cooked fruits and vegetables right now, right? Guest guest
My son had severe constipation before we went GFCF a year ago... He immediately began to have green diarrhea. It didn't go away until we added Saccharomyes Boullardi(sic) and other probiotics. He continued to have ups and downs with his behavior and bowel movements-a year later I know starches are the culprit. I found out that eggs make my sons stool green and loose also. Potatoes causes immediate problems. He has a lot of reactions to different foods so.....all i can say is start off with the most basic of diet....and I wouldnt recommend adding foods that are common food allergens. It is hard to put your child on such a restricted diet initially..but it will make it easier to weed out problem food items in the future. > > This is most likely releated to bacterial die-off and will be temporary.
