My Dr. visits

Well, this was one of my big days. The ophthalmologist & the rheumy. The eye Dr. said my eyes are doing real well. There is no change for the cataract in the left eye so that is good. No change in my vision. Will go back in four months for a field vision test & something else. The rheumy was just ecstatic. My liver enzymes are normal. I am down to 5 mg of MTX & 5 of pred. He is not changing anything. He was going to put me on Imuran but since I am normal he wants everything to stay. I told him that the PCP told me about his comment about not thinking I would live a year or be wheelchair bound. He reiterated how concerned he was and has no clue why I started responding when the doses were lowered. It doesn't matter, the fact is that it is a year & I am alive & kicking (sort of). Told him about my right leg & he didn't want to give my any steroids because he doesn't want to upset the apple cart. He told me to go ahead & take the pain pills & if it gets too bad to call. So I guess I just have to take it easy. Darn! Just when I was getting used to the electric wheelchairs. I don't need blood work or a visit for 2 months. I'm having Thanksgiving but my oldest daughter & my grandson are coming Weds. night & my youngest & her friend are also coming to help after work, so we will have a house full Weds. night. They are going to learn how to make the stuffing & other goodies. We discussed Christmas Eve & Day after our day at the zoo on Sat. My youngest is going to have Eve & my oldest will have Day. My middle daughter has New Years. They don't want my to overdo. I guess the Dr. put a scare into them. We are having a holiday open house on the 28th of Dec. so if any of you are going to be in the Rockford area then, you are welcome. I refuse to get myself nuts like last year & get sick again so what gets done, gets done. No I haven't finished my Christmas shopping but Ted is taking me out next Tues. Hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving. Luv ya, Susiecue

Susiecue,

That's great news and I'm glad you're letting your family take a lot

of the tasks on for the holidays. Good for them for offering and

good for you for accepting!

Take care,
