Guest guest
My baby is 9 months old and has been in her Starband for three months. Just this week, she started pulling at her band and whining. After we take it off, she also itches her head and fusses. I noticed a few very faint tiny dry bumps that might be the source. But it seems so minimal for the amount of discomfort she seems to be in. We have been keeping the band off of her for the time being hoping the symptoms would subside. I thought maybe the helmet was a little tight and rubbing, but the ortho shaved some off and she was still itching. It's not too warm here yet, so I ruled out heat rash. She's not too sweaty underneeth either. Since she has been in the band for three months, I am tempted to say forget it and take her out of the band all together. But it doesn't seem like she has gotten all that much correction for her plagio yet... Unsure what to do.
Guest guest
I'm not sure I have any good advice, but wanted to share that my son had this itching issue too, at the base of his head area, after having had the band a while. I too had the ortho shave some out in that area a few times even and it didn't seem to help. Actually he seemd fine until I took the helmet off he would itch like crazy, and there was no rash just some redness. anyway, this is one of the reasons I decided to say good enough with his head and we finished him up at 3mm. I have heard others give advice on using aveano paste and putting that on them in the bath, I never tried it though. le > > My baby is 9 months old and has been in her Starband for three months.
