Guest guest
YEAHHH!!! Crystal (mother of 3 June 2) Dear Mrs. Wood: Thank you for your e-mail regarding Cystic Fibrosis Awareness Month. I appreciate hearing from you on this important issue. I have tremendous concern for the 30,000 individuals in our country who live life each day with Cystic Fibrosis (CF). It is impossible to imagine the difficulties that everyday life presents for these individuals. The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation estimates that over 10 million people carry a recessive CF gene. I believe it is important that we expand education efforts to reach these individuals and make them aware of CF. You may be interested to know that S. Res. 98 passed the Senate by unanimous consent on September 25, declaring a National Cystic Fibrosis Week in October 2003. I am pleased that we were able to pass this legislation and help promote education about this disease. As you know, S. Con. Res. 298 was introduced by Senator and expressed the sense of Congress to declare May 2004 as Cystic Fibrosis Awareness Month. This bill has been referred to the Senate Judiciary Committee, and I look forward to supporting it when it comes to the Senate floor. Please be assured that I will continue to advocate for legislation that supports individuals suffering with Cystic Fibrosis. Thank you again for your e-mail. Please keep in touch. Yours sincerely, United States Senate **PLEASE NOTE: You have received this message from an electronic correspondence system that is not capable of receiving responses.
