Guest guest
, Sorry I don't know about dimetapp/tylenol, but I do know a little trick for reducing fevers. In the event you have not tried this yet, try alternating tylenol with motrin. Motrin for 8 hrs then tylenol...this seems to squash fevers. Hope that helps. Feel better soon! e

Guest guest
Not only can you alternate tylenol and motrin, but you can take them together as they aren't the same medicine. Just watch your maximum dosage levels that are laid out on the package. You should also check and make sure that the dimetap that you're giving doesn't have either of those in it as well. (The plain dimetapp won't, there was one especially for colds, there for a while, that did.) Oh, and as far as tylenol not working on kids fevers... I have found that to be true if the fever is especially nasty and I try to use the liquid. The suppositories on the other hand seem to, excuse the appropriate expression here, kick it in the butt! :-) Dawn mom of 4, 8 and under, the youngest wcf
