I just had my heart set on Dr. R doing the surgery so that I could get back on my feet quick. I'm a little hurt right now... Robin from Ohio >> Robin,Fellow Ohioan, There is such a thing as aeromedical transport. Should you have complications you could easily fly to Durham. To be honest ,if you stay that firsat week you're pretty much out of the " woods " . You're Dr. needs education,if he can't be open to education, than he's unable to meet your needs...ergo:move on to a different doctor. Being sliced open and having a RNY(read HACKED) is FAR more dangerous than a possible, albeit low, chance of a complication w/ the MGB. FYI:Flight time<load/unload> to Durham is about 1 1/2to 2 hours. (I work in critical care transport, can you tell?!) If it would make you feel better I can get you phone #'s for flight services near Ohio. He needs to step out of the box or you need to step out of his office. Good luck to you. Osler 2/21/00 272/185!
