[CYSTIC-L] Shana Sunday Update

Dear friends and family,

Today Shana was awake enough to respond to verbal

commands, such as wiggling her toes and opening her mouth, and even

managed to smile (she then fell back asleep). Last night she spiked

another fever of 102.1 degrees. During her fever her respiratory and

heart rates speed up so fast that she had to be sedated to slow her

vitals down. However, seeing her smile and knowing that she understood

us was a great encouragement to the entire family. If she keeps

progressing at this rate she may be weaned from the respirator in a few

days.
