Guest guest
Hello Everyone- I can't remember if I've posted here before, but I've been a member and reading for awhile. I just wanted to share really quick a birthday cake idea for those like me who are commited to the diet, but not wanting to put further too much emphasis on our childs " special " foods to other peers. So DS is about to turn 3.(No diagnosis other than developmental delay and possible apraxia) He has been on the diet for three months now with really great results. I decided today that I would just keep his party simple..two of his cousins, some family members and maybe another child from playgroup or school. I was gonna do a sheet cake for everyone not on the diet and a seperate cake for him that is SCD legal. Good idea I thought, but today as I was looking for sesame street stuff and look what I found! A cute little sesame street cupcake stand that looks like sesame street. You just put some white icing on them and plop the little character ring on top for decortation. Now I can make DS bannana cupcakes with honey icing and some regular cupcakes for others and serve them in the same presentation! I thought this was an awesome thing, especially since I don't do artificial colorings and decorating was gonna prove a challenge this year. I also didn't want to have to do a seperate " cake " from the rest. Anyway, with others posting about birthday delimas I thought I would share the link, so you can check it out. Happy Birthday Planning! http://www.celebrateexpress.com/celebration/product.asp? sku=E7488 & mscssid=46XXB1H8JEAB8G4RNTT7GWM2BNEF9A38 & ref=thumb Ash
