Guest guest
You're not the only one who is discouraged, believe me Robin. I feel the same way. I went to see my doctor Friday and showed him the manual. I had completed my contacts, my patient information form and half done my patient letter when I came to a dead halt. I just don't know how it's possible to write a complete page on some of these topics. There's only so many ways you can say the same thing. When I heard about the psych eval. I was trying to rush through my letter, then decided I'm going to let the chips fall where they may. I don't mind doing the work, but not when the rules keep changing. It's very discouraging. Just wanted to let you know you're not alone, Pat
Guest guest
Dear Pat, You say you don't know how many ways you can say the same thing. And that is the answer to your problem. Just say it again. Over again. Til you've completed all the necessary lines. It is the task you must complete. Ours is not to reason why. . . Please don't give up. I have an idea, you'll be glad you didn't! Hang in there, and get that letter in before Dec 1st. (Then you won't need the psych eval, right? Guest guest
Thanks so much for the encouragement, PJ. I won't give up, I just went into the stalled mode for a couple of days. I'm working on my patient letter once again, and hopefully I'll have everything together by Dec 1st. I just wanted Robin to know that she's not alone. Guest guest
Hi Pat, I too just re-did all of my contacts so they are on line and finally finished my patient letter. I am in the end stage of gathering all of my medical documents and hope to have everything submitted to the good doc before Dec 1. I will have to get a psychological exam for my insurance but at least I will have the packet in and hopefully approved so that I may be able to have the surgery sometime in January. Don't give up, it takes a lot of work, I worked on it for 9 straight hours yesterday to complete it, plus many hours before that reading and writing. It's like havin another job, lol. I know in my heart it is all worth it for the way I am going to feel when the pounds drop off, after surgery. Good Luck Pat Nevada pre op
Guest guest
Just my two cents worth, but if we all had to climb backwards through a knot-hole it wouldn't be too much to ask for the rewards we get from the MGB.. Guest guest
Pat, thanks for responding. There's so much " work up " to do on your part that it's disheartening when a part of it falls apart. Maybe I'll have to look into another Dr. They do laproscopic surgery here, but it's the Roux En Y, and the MGB is presented as the best option...So who wants to settle for less?! Anyways, keep me in your thoughts and prayers. If God doesn't want me to have this surgery, I need to accept that. He knows what's best for us. Thanks again, Robin from Ohio Re: Robin from Pat >You're not the only one who is discouraged, believe me Robin. I feel the same >way. I went to see my doctor Friday and showed him the manual.
