Guest guest
Donna I called my Rheumy today (had to wait till my daughter left for work because I didn't want her to know, LOL, she worries too much) and they called right back. Have an appointment set up for the 20th of this month with my ENT. My Rheumy only works Tues and Thurs so she is going to call me tomorrow at work. I just want to empathize the importance of your symptoms to this group. The trachea is the most serious of involvement when it comes to RP and no symptom in this area should ever be ignored. That is why I called my doctor immediately. Especially for new members, any hoarseness, tightness in the throat, shortness of breath, and now I find out unproductive cough, and the need for air via fan etc were important symptoms for you. Let's all keep a "heads up" for these symptoms and make sure we call our Rheumy's ASAP if we have any of them. It's so very important. Again Donna I can't thank you enough. This group is wonderful. w >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Even if for some reason she doesn't think it is possible - maybe you can ask her to do a Throat CT Scan to rule it out or maybe even just jump into the bronchoscopy.
