Guest guest
Just thought I'd let you know that Marilyn R is having eye surgery on Wed on her tear ducts. They will do the second eye 6-8 weeks later. The dr thought that this was caused from the Imuran. She found that interesting and so do I. Has anyone heard of this before? Another important thing I need to bring up. If anyone is sick, in the hospital, having surgery, etc., we would LOVE it if you would have someone notify at least one person in the group. It helps us all to send good thoughts and prayers your way. And helps us in the "Worriers Club" to keep busy. LOL Hugs

Guest guest
Hi : Cath here. I'm not sure what eyelid surgery is being done but I do recall as an oldie in the group that I think it was that had terrible problems with the cartilidge in her eyelids turning out. If that is the case, I don't know that Imuran would cause this. I worked for ophthalmologist and we did plastics on eyelids and never had any cases based on taking Imuran or chemo other than can cause severe dryness. There are autoimmune diseases that can alter structure of the eyes and mucous membranes. Hopes this help a little. Hello to all and Caitlin and I are trying to hang in there. Really tough but the troops just arrived (my parents visit for a month or so in winter since I live in Florida). Mom and dad say hello to everyone. I am so blessed that they are here to help. Take care and you are all in my prayers. Love, Cath Re: Marilyn R. eye surgery Just thought I'd let you know that Marilyn R is having eye surgery on Wed on her tear ducts. Guest guest
Hi : Tear ducts can get clogged and they have to put a plastic tube to drain them into the nose (that is why your nose runs when we cry). Can be a tuff surgery in some cases so will say prayers for her. Hopefully it will be easily corrected. Thanks for your messages. You always bring a smile to my face. Love ya, Cath Cath, gosh it is always so good to hear from you. I think Marilyn's surgery was on her tear ducts.
