Guest guest
Dear , I got my Nexium refilled today and read the pharmacists enclosure for the first time. It is magnesium based. In the Cellcept literature it said that Cellcept should not be taken with some kinds of magnesium because it interferes with absorption. Anyone on the list who is taking Cellcept should ask their doctors about that. It also said that it should be taken in the a.m. one hour before eating! I have been taking it right before breakfast. Finally it said that the 40 mg pill is to get stomach problems to settle down and then the 20 mg should be used for maintenance. I have been taking 40 mg for 90 days and just got another 90 days worth so now I have to ask my doc about that...if I should try the 20 to see if it works OK for whatever reason. One thing that I found there said the one of the side effects of Nexium can be dry mouth. In some people it can (rarely) cause cystitis....that was in the "whole body" section of the side effects and warnings. There was no emphasis on making any effort to stay hydrated while taking it. I just thought I would tell you about this one possibility for your problem if you are taking Nexium. There is also a definite warning about taking it with certain antibiotics to include Amoxcillin, and Eurthromycin and another...
