If you go to the foundation's website, there should be a link there to the diagnosing criteria that is used to diagnose RP. You are diagnosed if you have a cluster of symptoms. Do you have a rheumatologist in addition to your ENT? If not, you might consider adding one to your care team. They are usually much more familiar with the medications that may become / be necessary to treat your symptoms (such as the rib pain). Good luck!
