Need to let loose here!!!!

OK I am going to do some b_ _ _ _ing her so if you don't want to listen to it

then you better stop here! Ok about 2 or 3 weeks ago had strep

throat well when we found out I told the nurse that does the culture I think she

should be on Ceftin because she is know to be a carrier of steph and that is the

only thing that has worked for her. Well, she asked the doctor about it and

he said well I think amoxacillin will work fine. Well, her we are once again

with strep!!! So today I said I want Ceftin!!! Please tell the doctor we want

Ceftin obviously the Amoxacillin did not work so this time will the Please give

me Ceftin (I tried to keep my cool which can be really hard sometimes when

they think us Mom's don't know diddly squat!!) So I go to the pharmacy to pick

up

the medication and it was a really long word that kind of sounded like Ceftin

and I asked the pharmacist is this the long name for Ceftin and he said NO!

And I asked I don't want this I told them I want Ceftin!!! The poor pharmacy

got an ear full which I am sure he didn't want but by that time I have had

enough and told him I will not take this I asked for Ceftin I know it will work

for

her so could you please talk to the doctor so he can will order it. Well, he

did!!! But it makes me so mad that some doctors try to pull crap like this on

us!!! We know our kids enough by now to know what works and what doesn't!! I

think they just like us coming back so it is more money in there pockets!!

WHICH IS CRAP!!! And to top everything else off I think she has PINK EYE!!!

Which

sounds to me like it came from the strep!!!! RRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!! So I will be

running her in probably tomorrow to get drops for her eyes!! Unless someone

else one here has some other remedy to help this????? If you made it this far

Dear Deb.,

YOU are soooooooooo right !! I hear this all the time. I will say that

having Lois here in our place , she tells the docs, what is best & almost to

a fault-----the mom is right. They even call her for consultations. We cant

change an RX but that sure holds allot of weight even she tells them. YOu

keep specking up & if you have to go so far ------change docs or ask for

another in the group so you don't have to change clinics-------if that is

possible. Our clinics here all have several docs so that is possible. Bless

you & I sure do P--- for that pink eye to be out a there. Maybe the cefin

will help.

You are not getting an agrument from me Deb. always would get

an sinus infections but he never runs a temperature unless he has

developed another complication as well. It used to bust my butt to go

in when he had a sinus infection and the pediatrician would send us

home because he didn't have a temperature. Several days later when

his breath was enough to knock us over or when he had contant snot

tracks on his sleeve and headaches, I would take him back and they

would say sinus infection. I would hate it when they started him off

on amoxicillin becuase it never worked. They would would switch

Augmentin and finally when that didn't work then Ceftin. His CF

doctor just put on his 5 week of Ceftin. Thank God something

still works. When I was resistant to amoxicillin they gave me Kevlex

which worked like a charm.
