Guest guest
Beate, I'm not sure what you mean by: <<Last night she brought up in her seizure.>> Do you mean that she vomited? There is one ingredient in your magnesium that I am not sure about... the " croscarmellose sodium " . I honestly do not know what this is or if it's legal. I've seen it as a supplement additive and have personally chosen to avoid it because I just was not sure if it was okay. Maybe someone else will know. This supplement: <<B12 with Folic Acid (In base of purified well water, fructose, maltodextrin and grapefruit seedextract.>> ..... is DEFINITELY illegal. I can't say whether it was the cause of your daughter's seizure or not, but you can't use this one on SCD. Fructose and maltodextrin are illegal. If you want to add B vitamins to help with iron absorbtion, I think you would want a complete B Complex, not just B-12 and Folic acid. Patti brought up during seizure I had taken my daughter off all her vitamins and minerals because she had brought up many times and I thought that it might have something to do with it. I have re introduced the following slowly now. Mag Glycinate by Metagenics (contains Magnesium Microcrystalline cellulose, croscarmellose sodium, celluslose, stearic acid, silica, and magnesium stearate.) It says that this product is produced in a facility that produces products containing soy, dairy, fish, and crustacean shellfish. I had here on this for one week and she did fine. Her BM got very regular with this. On Wednesday I re- introducesEnzym-complete/DPP-IV by Kirkman and noticed that she got more mucous. Her BM's are not as regular, but still not bad (Every 2nd day). On Saturday I indrocued B12 with Folic Acid (In base of purified well water, fructose, maltodextrin and grapefruit seedextract.)(A.N. Tyler Holdings Ltd. Surrey, BC). (We had her just test and she had come back with low iron, these were the only B vitamins I had at home. She still has her chronic bladder infection. Last night she brought up in her seizure. Could this have to do with the B12? I have to admit I did not check the ingredients before I gave it to her. Any idea? Thank you Beate, Mom to (15) SCD since Jan 2006, severe reaction to vaccination. Guest guest
BY " brought up " do you mean vomit? If you do, my son had several seizures and often either had a bowel movement or vomitted. This can be typical during a seizure that is why I try to keep him on his side during an episode. I will say that some vitamins and other supplements did in fact cause seizures with him For example cod liver oil- ...Best of Luck --- Doug and Beate Rapien wrote: > Sorry if this is dublecated but I have sent this > yesterday morning and have > not seen this posted as of yet. Guest guest
, Thank you SO much for finding that! We need to add that to the illegal supplement additive list on pecanbread.com. I'll bring it to Mimi's attention right away.
