Guest guest
W, thanks. I'm hoping the prisms will help with the vision problem and that it will eventually go away, but 4-6 months from now seems an offly long time from now. Right now the only thing I can do is keep one eye closed so that I can see normally. It doesn't matter which eye, though I tend to close the left eye, which is the one having the palsy. I was getting just a little scared about that bleeding, so I called the cuomadin clinic at my hospital and was told to go to urgent care and they fixed it. I too always carry bandades with me just in case. In fact, when I travel, I usually carry a first aid kit with me too. I usually add stuff to my first aid kits so that they have more functionality. Guest guest
Chrissy, the vision changed happened in one minute, literally. I was calling my cat in for the night and the next thing I knew, I was seeing two of him. I did have some migraines two days before, but I'm prone to have migraines, so I can't say for sure if they had anything to do with it. The doctor I saw said the problem with the nerve was due to a microvascular problem created by long term diabetes and high blood pressure, so I'm not sure how much of a help a neurologist would be.The opthamologist I saw seemed to be fairly familiar with this, so I guess it happens with some regularity to people. I am doing fairly well as long as I keep one eye closed as the palsy doesn't affect the vision of each individual eye, only when I try to see through them both at the same time. The prisms are put on your glasses, I think. I won't know for sure until I see the doctor on Nov. 24th. That was the earliest I could get an appointment, so I have to wait. I won't know much about the binocular specialist until I see her. The opthamologist I saw did say she was the doctor I would need to see to get the prisms to deal with the double vision. There is nothing else they can do but wait for it to go away. Kimber -- Kimber Vallejo, CA hominid2@...
