This is the official intro diet for children: http://www.pecanbread.com/foodprep.html#intro It is usually followed from 2-5 days and no longer. After, more easily digested foods are introduced gradually, one at a time, in small amounts, allowing several days or longer before adding another. Below the intro diet is a table of foods in order of their digestability but it is a guideline and not a hard and fast rule to be followed rigidly. SCD is preferred over GFCF as it does not include harmful starches and sugars and the use of apporoved dairy is mandatory. Carol F. SCD 6 years, celiac Carol F. Guest guest
> This is the official intro diet for children: > > http://www.pecanbread.com/foodprep.html#intro Thanks Carol. That's the same intro diet I saw, but then I read the diet on the BVC site. I understand omitting dairy, but the rest? No juice? " Breakfast: Dry curd cottage cheese (moisten with homemade yogurt) Eggs (boiled, poached, or scrambled)* Pressed apple cider or grape juice mixed 1/2 and 1/2 with water. See, SCD™ Legal / Illegal List for more information about allowable juices. Homemade gelatin made with juice, unflavored gelatin, and sweetener (honey or saccharine) Lunch: Homemade chicken soup Broiled beef patty or broiled fish Cheesecake Homemade gelatin made with juice, unflavored gelatin, and sweetener (honey or saccharine) Dinner: Variations of the above " How should one handle snacks then? Jello?
Guest guest
One last question ... so you follow this intro diet for up to five days. When exactly do you end the intro? When the yeast isn't an issue or when diarrhea is gone?
