Guest guest
Hi all. I have two boys dx'd w/ASD (one unofficially, but we are certain). We started GFCF about two weeks ago and stumbled across SCD (why I'm here). GFCF did some good, but yeast is an issue. So I picked up the book and checked out some web resources. I have no idea what the intro diet should be. It's very confusing. One resource says one thing, the book another and then I get a completely different explanation from people who are using the diet. Can someone point me in the right direction? Can I start out giving them anything on the legal list or is it more complex than that? What exactly do I start with? Starting out I made chicken soup according to the site (it's all pureed or my oldest won't touch it), bananas, legal jello, chicken and burgers. I read if diarrhea isn't an issue you can introduce solid fruits and veggies. That cleared up after the GFCF kicked in. Can I give them apples, grapes, veggies, etc that are legal or do I need to wait? Also have a million questions about using enzymes (can I use them now), my oldest is chelating should I take a break from that for now ... very excited about this diet. Thanks for any help.
