Guest guest
My bet is that he just got overtired from a busy day. Or maybe he is starting to teethe at the exact same time as getting the band! I bet that he'll be fine in a few nights. > > > My LO just got his DOC band yesterday and at first, everything was > suprisingly good. Guest guest
Thanks ! I did an advanced search backwards on here on some sleeping tips and did find that it is quite common. We are on night 5 now and things are getting a little better. To his credit/discredit, he was sleeping really well until 4 months (3/11) hit, then he was up every 2.5/3 hours all night (I am EBF). Now he is doing every 2/2.5 and the one difference is he will pick one time where he stays up for maybe 45 minutes to an hour, that is the worst part. He had two bottom teeth come through on March 30, so maybe he is working on his tops... I am imagining that it will get better with time, like everything. He isn't pulling at it like he was the first few days, and I think it needs to be trimmed around his ear as well. On a good note, my husband and I both feel like we have seen a slight difference in his shape so far, which is amazing, or we are hallucinating! > > > > > > My LO just got his DOC band yesterday and at first, everything was > > suprisingly good. Guest guest
Hi Christy, You have just described almost the exact same sleeping situation that I experience with my son BEFORE he had the band! How funny! I think it was all just a coincidence that he teethed and switched sleep patterns and got banded all at the same time! As for seeing improvement already in his head shape, you aren't hallucinating! We thought the same thing with our son after he'd been banded for a week - that's actually what sent me to the internet and caused me to join this group. Apparently it's very common to see a change so quickly. It's also really encouraging if you ever had any worries about if the band would work. I hope his sleeping gets back to a manageable pattern! My 11 month old still wakes up at 10pm, 2am and 545am on a GOOD night, so I can relate > > > > > > > > > My LO just got his DOC band yesterday and at first, everything was > > > suprisingly good. Guest guest
Aww , I'm sorry to hear that your LO still gets up that much....sorry for you and for my future as well! I had read about 4 month sleep regression before, and like you said, I think it is just the teething/band coincidence that leads them to being a general wreck! I am guessing that with the band, I have to take it as it comes (sleep) and possibly attempt some sort of sleep training once he graduates from the band. We go to our first follow up appt. tomorrow so I am looking forward to seeing the difference and what the clinician says! -Christy > > > > > > > > > > > > My LO just got his DOC band yesterday and at first, everything was > > > > suprisingly good.
