tell isn't really interested. in Missouri

Just say it wasn't easy. Unless you feel that will benefit from the surgery.

I were introduce to the surgery back an RN at my job who were losing a lot

of what and because of my body size she simply ask me if I had Internet I

said yes and then she told my to go to (she gave me the email address for Dr.

R. and stated if you have any question here is my telephone number. I have

been talking to her off and all. of land

Ps

She told me it is no one else business. She mention this to one RN at her

part-time job and they all jumped on her about being lazy told her to just

join a gym stop eating so much she were so mad she said of all people you

would think you could get there support. She left that job and that's how

she ended up were I'm working now. of land

I tell everyone about my surgery. I don't want to mislead people,

especially obese people, and let them think I accomplished this

through " just " diet and exercise. If I saw someone who had been obese

and are now thin due to WLS and they led me to believe they just

dieted I would feel like such a failure that I couldn't diet

successfully too. I think honesty is the best policy. I don't go into

detail unless they ask. I just say " I had weight loss surgery and it

has worked out really well " .

I too tell everyone that asks about my surgery and Dr

R. I am like a walking advertisement for that man and

the Mgb! lol

I especially tell people that will be around me a lot.

Day to day is different for me. One day a particular

food may not bother me and a week later it may not

want to stay down. Some days I can stomach a whole

turkey and cheese sandwich and other days I can't even

get 1/2 of it in me. I am always offered sweets and

sodas and when I tell them I cannot have sugar they

always want to know why...so I tell them. People have

always been interested and intrigued and I love to

tell my story ! :o)

I'm doing wonderful. I've lost 60 pounds, and just had blood work thursday,

and everything came back perfect!!! My doctor is thrilled!

Take care,

Tonni, with a start weight of 218, what was your BMI? You must be very

short, huh?

Just curious, PhillyJude.

BTW, what great success you're having. I hope to do as well.

Hi PJ,

I am 5'4 " . If I stand up straight, I'm 5'5 " . LOL I wasn't the 100 pounds

overweight, but my triglycerides were over 1200, I have a ton of family

histories, heart ect. My doctors had come to a point I would have to take

meds for the rest of my life. I have not had to take any since the night

befor my surgery, and as of last thursday, my triglycerides were at 120!!!!!

My doctors are just shocked. I'm thrilled.

Take care.
