Guest guest
Sorry, there are no noodles that you can buy. You can make " noodles " from zucchini. Peel the green skin from a zucchini with a regular veggie peeler, then just keep peeling.... the thin slices become " noodles " . You can then cut them into narrower strips if you want to. Saute for a few minutes in butter or olive oil, or steam them for a short time until tender and season as desired. You can also just add them to boiling soup broth in the last few minutes of cooking. Guest guest
You can't. What you can do is use spaghetti squash instead. Slice the squash in half length wise, and bake it on a cookie sheet with the cut side down. When it is tender, you can separate the strands using a fork, and pour sauce over it just like spaghetti. You can also use a vegetable pealer to peal zucchini into " noodles " . Saute them in a pan until tender. Meleah SCD noodles Hi Everyone, My daughter loves noodles. Guest guest
We have made our own noodles before with whole wheat flour. Could you substitute almond flour and make them that way? Guest guest
To my knowledge, no one has had any luck making noodles with nut flour. There's just no starch to help the dough stick together. Guest guest
I have a gadget called The Spiralizer that cuts a zucchini into long spaghetti like noodles. I peel the zucchini and use the spiralizer to cut it into the noodles, then add it to broth to cook them. It doesn't take long at all to cook. I haven't tried sauteing them in oil, but I may do that. My daughter that can eat them raw doesn't know the difference when I toss them with warm spaghetti sauce. Guest guest
Hi, Katherina, I've tried the sauteed zucchini noodles and likes them a lot. But I also make noodles out of chicken, egg, and almond flour. I have posted the recipe before http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/pecanbread/message/43708 You should probably take a " noodle break " before serving these because, of course, they will not be the same as what your daughter is used to. They taste like chicken (which we don't think is so bad) but they have a noodly wiggle. I haven't ever heard from anyone who has made them besides me, so it's possible that my family is the only one who likes them. , mom to Alesx > > Hi Everyone, > > My daughter loves noodles.
