's gastrostomy was first done when he was almost seven, changed to a

button later, and redone when he was about 13, because he'd " outgrown " the first

one. It was closed up about three years ago, because he was eating enough on

his own. We did go thru' a period when all he would eat or drink was cheese and

milk. He was on an eating program where he got rewarded for eating at least a

target amount of calories daily.

He's 24, now, and maintaining his weight well.
