It's too bad about the nausea reaction with Miralax. I get the

same reaction now from the Actonel I have to take once each

week, even though nausea IS NOT listed as a side effect. It

makes me nausiated for 24 hours and I'm not crazy about taking

something that makes me feel that way! Monday's (today) is

Actonel day, so I probably won't be able to eat all day as a result.

Heidi............I also take Actonel once a week, Saturday AM, and find no

problem with it. I thought I would just mention what I do when taking it, and

hope maybe it will help you with some ideas.........to avoid nausea. Upon

rising on Saturday mornings, I take a full bottle of water out of my

refrigerator, and drink about 1/2 of it (yuk......I am NOT a water lover!!)

but I

manage to drink it. Then, I take the Actonel pill and swallow it with the

remaining 1/2 bottle of water. Then, I continue to walk around the house,

making the bed, etc. I do not allow myself to sit for 1/2 hour after taking

it.

Then, after 1/2 - I enjoy my cup of coffee, bagel, or whatever I am having

for breakfast. I have been taking Actonel now for 4 months, with no problem or

reaction whatsoever. I hope this suggestion helps relieve your

unpleasantness in taking the pill. Carol
