Guest guest
This note is to the person who was wondering about the onset of ear inflammation. I'm one of those who did not wake up one morning to find my ear swollen and hot---mine just slowly snuck up on me until it got bad. What I did get at first was eye inflammation that would come and go for about a year or more and I just thought I was low on vitamins so would take some and in a few days it would clear up. The ear just started slowly and then progressively got worse. The internist I was going to just gave me some steroid cream to put on it. My ophthalmalogist was the one who picked it up and hit the ceiling and called the internist and I'm sure he gave him a large chunk of his mind!! He insisted that I be put on 60mg pred immediately--that very afternoon! Shortly after that I went back up to Seattle and saw my old internist at Virginia Mason who knew immediately what it was and took over the supervision of my care. By then my ear had really become a classic example. At that time I was dividing my time pretty much between Lake Tahoe and Seattle. I'm just really grateful to that eye doctor. : I think to some degree it is always there. At times RP looms large on the horizon and then at times it does fade into the background and no longer seems to be the controlling interest in life. I've had RP for eight years now and can say that I have been all over the map with it. So, just hang in there, my dear. This beast can be beaten back into its' cage. It won't stay there all the time, but there really is a future with it in control much of the time. Now I have a question. Does anyone find that taking MTX hits a little harder the longer you take it? It didn't bother me too much at first, but the last two or three times it is making me a little tireder and a little more nauseated. Love to all, Dagny __________________________________________________________________ The NEW Netscape 7.0 browser is now available.
