Guest guest
well my last name is america, which is fun but not too weird. i mostly just get the " miss america " jokes (i kept my name after getting married. but my brother is a marine, and is--you guessed it--a captain. he has gotten a LOT of flack over being captain america. my other brother is named Rob...when he used to work at a store and had his name (rob america) on his nametag, a guy asked him once if he worked for the irs. anna In MiniGastricBypass (AT) egroups (DOT) com, " Donna Schanzenbacher " <rapidanian@h...> wrote: > Everytime I hear the name Drema it reminds me of a friend of mine who is > also named Drema. > > I have become sort of a name collector as I have happened upon quite a few > interesting names through the years. > > Drema's maiden name was Knight (her middle name is Lee), she married (then > divorced) Long. > She still uses the name Drema L. Guest guest
Hi Donna, When I worked for SW Bell Yellow Pages there was an attorney in Dallas by the name of Lesser of course it printed in the directory as Lesser, . Also, a guy I used to work with at SW Bell previously sold life insurance. He sold a policy to a lady and forgot to get the beneficiaries name. When he called the lady back she told him to put her daughter's name down.......can you believe her name was Vagina !!!!!!!!! Of course I can't forget my old boss Dick Brown......... The joke around the office was " Is that Dick Brown??????? NO....it's just the way the light hits it!!!!!!!! " Love, Genz Donna Schanzenbacher wrote: > Everytime I hear the name Drema it reminds me of a friend of mine who is > also named Drema. > > I have become sort of a name collector as I have happened upon quite a few > interesting names through the years. > > Drema's maiden name was Knight (her middle name is Lee), she married (then > divorced) Long. > She still uses the name Drema L. Guest guest
Donna: I once met a lady who named her baby Acetate Rayon, I do not remember the last name but this is the truth. One lady named her child Lemonjello. I did not see this one but I heard of a lady who named her baby Female She thought when they brought out the basinette in the hospital it was already named. That is only a few of the ones I know. Guest guest
When I worked in the Operating Room in Kinston, N.C., we had an anesthesiologist named Dr. Preecha. When we first heard his name announced over the intercom system (this was before we knew who he was), we said, " Hey are the ministers becoming doctors now? Guest guest
When I was in my teens, I had a friend whose name was Candy Appel and she was from Charlotte and everywhere we went at the beach, she would have a candy apple in her hand, kind of like a trademark. When I use to call her (I lived in Kinston), the operator would laugh and I would always have to spell the last night and tell her that it was no joke, that was her name. Guest guest
Thanx Donna, I was fun reading your list, sorry my name isn't too funny.. Trudy Strong.. not at all MGB related Everytime I hear the name Drema it reminds me of a friend of mine who is also named Drema. I have become sort of a name collector as I have happened upon quite a few interesting names through the years. Drema's maiden name was Knight (her middle name is Lee), she married (then divorced) Long. She still uses the name Drema L. Knight-Long. I also went to school with or have worked with: Paige Cara Topp (not a red head) Alfred Betz (of course we called him Alfa) Kringle Dawna Mourning (sick people!) Bertrand Dew (Bird for short) Dwight Light (I dated his brother Ronnie-the rotten two timing ....-oh sorry) Greta Garble Helen Bache (pronounced Back here in Va) Larry Carrey Grey Carr (his Mom's name is Minnie) Mable Line (she does my Mom's hair) Tommy Gunner Dora Jar (married name) Napoleon Guy (poor boy-he was called Nappie for short) My ex-mother in law's maiden name is Boozer. Her brother is named after her father so in their hometown the father and brother are still referred to as Big Boozer and Little Boozer. My maiden name is Mohn (pronounced Moon-we are from Pa originally). My father's name (and my nephew's) is Kenny Mohn (Can he?). My aunt's name before she married was May Mohn. (she didn't!). By the way my mother's name is Eleanor, but she goes by her middle name which is June. So while they were married my mom's name was June Mohn. Am I wrong or do some people have a really weird sense of humour when they are naming their children? My all time favorite? My high school principal was Mr. Dick. His wife's name was Anita. I SWEAR TO GOD! All of us immature adolescents had a lot of fun with that one. I believe they may still live in Winchester, Va if you want to look it up. Anyway-I actually have a bunch more that I've written down at home. I only write down weird and funny names of people that I have actually met though. I have seen some funny ones on TV, but you never know if they are their real names or if they changed their name for show business. I know I am strange, but I thought I'd share this with you, my friends.
