Guest guest
Suzi, I'd be calling them back and asking for an extension, considering that before you went down there, they kept denying to you that they would cover your tests. I would also call the doc at Mayo and ask him if it matters to him whether you get the tests where you are or if it would be in your best interests to have them done back in Arizona. Maybe it's a ploy between all insurance companies that they think if they make one aggravated and angry enough they will cure one, just by getting them riled up... I think I might have another fight on my hands with my insurance and I don't know if I'm really in the mood to take them on again now..but it's something that they won't cover for some reason...I might leave my boxing gloves off until sometime in February..*L* Hope it works out for you.. Guest guest
Suzi, The thing is, I WOULD believe it! Insurance companies are the pits, and it always seems that the right hand has NO IDEA what the left is doing when your dealing with those people. How infuriating! I'm so sorry for your troubles with this, you've got every right to be upset! Don't feel alone, though, my insurance company wouldn't pay for my Mayo visit, either. We still don't know what the two CT-scans cost - we haven't seen a statement for those, or all the bloodwork that was done. I'm sure it will show up. They just mailed me back the 16 CT-scan films that I took down there with me, so at least I've got those back. I was worried, because they're my own personal copies, and it took forever for them to return them. Good luck with all your tests, wherever you have them done!
