Guest guest
Yeh...no fridge full of medicine. Lots of room for beer and tonic water. I could manage that! Hal Re: Temporarily Suspended Good lord that sounds nice--a vacation from CF. If only we really could have 2 weeks OFF from this disease. That is my dream every night. We'd wake up and have no g-tube, no Vest, no nebulizer, no enzymes, no coughing, no scars from PICC lines, no scar across his tummy from surgery at birth, no fridge full of medicines, no stack of Great Strides letters, no IEPs to write, no doctor appointments, no washing equipment, no antibacterial gel all over the house, no pile of syringes on the countertop, no shipments of specialized formula, no battles with insurance, etc., etc., etc. > I will be " off line " starting March 13th until March 30th due to our holiday. This means the disease Cystic Fibrosis is suspended during this period. Unplug the machines, put the vests, pills, etc. in the drawer, and enjoy! Hal P.S. As it is almost spring, maybe keeping the antihistamines handy is a good idea. > >
Guest guest
And for the person with CF a vacation from remeber to do treatments, take enzymnes, wondering why their friends are doing something they can't , being healthy and breathing well for 2 weeks would be a joy. But the worst part would be coming home from that vacation, it is always worse to come back. So we just keep working towards a cure so they can have a lifetime vacation. I know that it will happen in my daughters lifetime and I am glad of that. judy ('s mom 20 years old, who was in the ST. 's Parade dressed in her civil war dress today.)
