Guest guest
Actually, we had this same kind of problem. It took a few months to resolve, but yes, it is a symptom and yes, it goes away. We ate blackbeans too early and had pain because of it. For us, symptom free meant without daily pain. We still get a twinge if we get some startch in a meal accidentally, but it's nothing like it was in the beginning. For example, I had been on the diet about four months when I accidentally got some sugar (I was at a holiday party. I asked for seltzer water and got tonic water. I was very thirsty and drank quickly, about half a cup, when I started tasting the sugar.), and couldn't get out of bed for two days. Now, if I accidentally get some sugar, I feel kind of crummy and have to fight yeast extra hard. iamfragrancefree wrote: Will someone please define " symptom free " as under blackbeans in the online food list? Guest guest
>What if you have no pain? Just just bizzare behaviors and tics from the tourette's and attention problems. You stay on the intro diet till ALL THAT clears up? I'm not sure that food is the only answer, just part of the picture. So, I stay on the intro diet till he has NO SYMPTOMS of any kind? That could be a while. Regina > Will someone please define " symptom free " as under blackbeans in the > online food list? Does that only mean diahrrea type symptoms? Guest guest
Regina, The intro diet should be done for two to three days, four to five days for those with diarrhea. Some people end up staying on the intro for weeks and wonder why they experience extreme fatigue etc..FIVE DAYS IS THE MAXIMUM. During those two to five days the person can eat as much of any of the foods that are on the intro diet. Some eat the chicken soup for the entire time others just stick to meatballs and carrots for their snacks and meals. It isn't a healthy thing to do long term but for the short time period it provides some nutrition to the person while starving out the pathogens.
