Guest guest
: " cfparents " as I have mentioned before, is a refreshing list, and the prohibition (don't get excited you alcohol imbibers) against prayers is agreeable to me. In my almost 73 years, I have lived all over the U.S. (and in London, too) and have experienced the Great Depression, World War II and the holocaust (family members of my wife and mine were murdered) I served in the Air Force during the Korean war, etc. I was born in Connecticut but grew up in the South. (My former home state of Tennessee now allows Confederate flags on its license plates.give me a break!). ly, , the bigotry there and in other areas of the U.S. is not so subtle. It is getting worse, I'm afraid, led by a divisive group of cynical politicians who know an election is coming soon. This takes the focus away from our real needs, finding a cure for CF, cancer, and other insidious diseases and the fact that millions of American children are without medical care and go hungry every day. When I read posts to this lists about children (and adults) who have to go through a gauntlet of mindless insurance and government bureaucratic mazes to get medical care, I wonder just what our values are. Janet gets more press than the reality of what we who have CF and other diseases must face every day. Our solution: a billion bucks to promote marriage. Shucks, it only cost three dollars for our marriage license almost 48 years ago. Hal
