Any peanut butter? Mimi > Hi, > > We use Magnesium Glycinate for our son - approximately 500mg per day. Guest guest
Hi ..... Magnesium glycinate is a good form of magnesium..... IF you don't want to loosen the stools at all. In other words, it's great for someone who already has problems with looser BMs and doesn't want them any looser. If you WANT a laxative effect, go with magnesium citrate.... or magnesium oxide. What makes a supplement (magnesium or whatever) legal or not is the additives that are included as fillers, if any. So, you just want to read your labels and compare to the list on www.pecanbread.com under " Supplements " for the legal/illegal supplement additives. Patti Magnesium Glycinate Question Hi, We use Magnesium Glycinate for our son - approximately 500mg per day. He is also on a large dose of Kirkman's Vitamin C for constipation. So far, both used daily aren't helping him with daily BMs. I realize we can try other protocols (prune juice reduced, electrolyte drink, etc.) and we will. Just wondering what others think about why the above dose of magnesium and Vitamin C isn't producing daily BMs for him. He has a BM about every 2-3 days. He's been on the SCD for about 6 weeks. I remember something about Mag. Glycinate being legal for those on SCD but that it wasn't good for constipation. If it's not, what magnesium is both legal and good for constipation?
