Guest guest
Yeah Rosemary!!! You're doing fine, just fine. Keep posting and telling us what's happening. I want a faster loss, just as you do and we all do, but I do think your skin is probably happier! I'll be looking for your next post. Guest guest
Rosemary, I'm a lot like you when things happen to me, they always take their own route.. in otherwords I'll more than likely be a slow loser too, but like you said there are some good things that will come out of that.. and honey as long as you're losing and feeling better thats all that really matters. Any diet I've ever been on I loose so slow, i give up.. you're not going to give up, and neither am I, this time. Please continue to post, love hearing whats going on with you, Trudy 3 month checkup Hi Dr. Rutledge and everybody, I just wanted to post about my 3 month checkup! My news is not as great as everybody else's but it still makes me happy! I've lost 33 pounds! So I am definitely the slow loser winner! But before everybody yells at me, I'm being positive, I figure as slow as I'm losing my skin will have to be able to keep up, and maybe my hair won't fall out since it can't really know I've had the MGB, for all IT knows I'm just on another of those million diets I've been on in my life! LOL Anyway, my blood pressure was still elevated, 149/93 but my pcp said my heart rate was so slow it could be dangerous! He said it came from the blood pressure meds I was on. They were slowing my heart but not lowering my blood pressure! See I told ya'll, I am always the exception in every case! ( He asked me if I was tired, I told him I was, but I thought it was from not eating very much! Shows how much I know!! He said my energy level should pick up as soon as the meds are out of my system, so maybe next month I'll have a bigger drop because I'll feel more like exercising. All this time I've been thinking I was just too lazy to exercise! Silly me! My pcp was very pleased with my progress, even though I wasn't! He had a student doctor in his office today, he asked me if I would talk to them both about what has been going on with me since the MGB. Of course I said yes! They both came in the room and pulled up chairs and sat and chatted for about 20 min. They wanted to know how I was feeling, how much I eat in an average day, was I happy with the surgery, and what my feeling about food is like now. My doctor was so surprised when I told him I no longer feel like food is my best friend. When I told him I eat from a coffee cup saucer he was in total shock! I've been going to this doctor for many years, and have always liked him, but it seems like now I'm HIS special project! (sorry Dr. R )) All the nurses know me by name since I've had the MGB and they gather around for me to weigh! I can't wait to see how they all act when I'm where some of the other post ops are at -100 or more! Ok I'll hush now!
