Cathy,

I have never heard that gelatin has traces of msg in it. I use the Knox gelatin

and have never had a problem.

Charlene

So how do you set your berry mousse filling for your meringue pie

without gelatine?Hmmm

Gelatine has traces of msg, right? We been eating lots of jello

lately....there is no way they can have that...that's been part of my

son's problem lately...I think.but hope I'm wrong.

So is there any type of gelatine that has no msg in it for

sure...available in Canada?

Please tell me I'm wrong about knox unflavoured gelatine!

Sorry, I'm a little worry worm,

charlene,

What I have read is that in the processing of it, it can form traces

of an msg like substance, that is very like msg and people can react

to it just like msg.I think the same thing can happen when sugar is

made. Mine could never even have small amounts of sugar of any kind.

just maple syrup. I think there is some kind of gelatine that is

processed differently so it does form this substance. But what one?

I don't know about the MSG, but I hope that's not true, too. But, I sure would

like to know how to make your berry mousse pie with marange.

Meleah,

Page 120 of BTVC book...I used cooked strained raspberries..you don't

heat the yogurt and you add it to cooled berries so you don't kill the

the good bacteria.

Check out this site regarding msg...a found a better site years ago

that expanded why gelatine was bad but I can't remember where...the

site is http://www.msgmyth.com/ look under hidden sources of msg..

Amy Yaska also suggest gelatine is bad for kiddos with autism.
