Hi Pam,

I have never been able to associate any foods with my SOD pains ups

and downs. As I have said before, if I don't eat then there is a

problem. I think I have the " empty stomach syndrome " so to speak.

I have been asked before by my doc if certain foods make my symptoms

worse and I even kept a diary of day to day activities and foods but

nothing seems to make any sense with the SOD pain. I tried a low

carb diet once a year or so ago (before I was diagnosed with SOD and

CP) and to my surprise, all of my symptoms were gone for a couple of

weeks. Being that my SOD pain is daily, I just knew the low carb

diet was my answer!! Then it happened........all pain, nausea,

vomiting came back and with a vengence. I was bedridden for a few

days. So it is a possibility that the carbs in pasta could play

into the fact that your SOD is worse ?? Just a thought.

Hi Pam I don't eat pasta w/ meat as I have pain with it also. I would gues that

it is a combination of the spices and the oil and fat content. Bob

I also eat a lot of pasta - mainly plain in the winter (with some

olive oil and garlic salt) and with fresh veggies from the garden

in the summer. I rarely have troubles above and beyond the

usual problems when eating it this way (sauceless and

meatless).

I rarely eat meat (couple of times a year at most) and am not

much of a tomato sauce person so my usual foods are pasta,

breads, veggies, rice and chocolate.
