Guest guest
Kathy, Welcome. Do your own research. Listen to no one. All these old wives' tales get re-cycled. Not to say that bad things don't happen. THey do. But once you've really researched, and stayed around here for a while and read all there is here, you will be able to make your own decision and feel good about it. And what is the risk, for bad health issues, if you don't have WLS? That's the real question. PhillyJude MGB- 11-3-
Guest guest
Kathy, Research, Research, Research... No one can hlep you decide until you do the research for yourself. It is worth the time to find out in black and white for yourself.. One suggestion.. after research on MGB site Go to other weight loss surgeries sites and check it out through them.. Many of them have search key words on them so it is easy to find.. I also am a researcher... pre-op in Ga
Guest guest
Kathy: I don't know how many people have replied to your post but I am a pre-op and have done the research Dr. Rutledge requires and The loss of hair is a side effect and the teeth problem may be from acid reflux which there is medication to control. Both only last a short time The hair does not all fall out like chemo or anything that severe and you are to take supplements to avoid some of that. I went to a picnic in September of previous MGBers and there was not a bald person there and there was close to 150 people. Do your study before you decide and weigh the alternatives.
