Guest guest
What are the symptoms of someone with pseudomonas? Would it be different symptoms for someone who does not culture it in their throat? Can the symptoms be similar to post nasal drip? We had clinic today and my son has not gained weight since Oct 2003 and has had a mild, what I would say is similar to post nasal drip, cough. Sometimes the cough is more frequent than other times and always clears up with an albuterol treatment. His cough is non- producing and not chronic. Because my son cannot cough anything up, the doc wants to do a bronchoscopy to which they also tell me does not introduce any other or additional bacteria into the lungs. Is there something else I should be discussing with my doctor? Is there something different I should be doing? ie - seeing an ENT doc? I am scheduling to see one this week. Any and all help/suggestions are greatly appreciated. Christen mom to 4 wcf and Peyton 5 mos no cf
Guest guest
See if you can get a referral to an ENT. My son has had a post nasal drip for a long time and we found out his adenoids were blocking his sinuses by 80%. Surgery is next week. Guest guest
He snored a bit and whenever he got the slightest cold, he'd get really congested and we could hardly suction it out. His nose just ran sometimes for no apparent reason (no cold, no allergies ). > > > What are the symptoms of someone with pseudomonas? Guest guest
My son is having surgery 2 weeks from today. Did you get a Cat scan of your son's sinus? That will show physical things (polps, aneiods, etc.) or pockets of mucuos? At a certain point nothing will help........the expression my ENT used was " its like pissing into the ocean " ............. Rosemary in NY with 3 children (13, 11 and 7) with CF. I have a dog named TOBI and have coined the phrase " BREATHE DAMMIT " my new favorite quote is Any idiot can face a crisis - it's day to day living that wears you out.
