Guest guest
, Now that I think about it, Nikki never slept later after a late night til she hit about 14 or 15. At least at 8 they can keep themselves occupied for a while so you don't necessarily have to get up when they do. I remember the days when my kids were younger. It was a Saturday morning tradition for Nikki to join us in bed around 7 a.m. and we'd watch cartoons together for a bit before getting up. I didn't know you were a diver. Obviously, you understood all the equipment terms. I don't like scuba diving in water with poor viz - freaks me out. I don't like cold water that much but can handle it with the right equipment. I got certified in June 2000 when we went to Cozumel for our 10th wedding anniversary. I really didn't think I'd like diving even though I love water. Grew up swimming on the swim team. Bud had a small (900 sq ft) house on the river when we got married. Try fitting 2 adults and 2 kids in 2 bedrooms that were smaller than some walk-in closets. I think the bedrooms were probably 100 sq. ft each, if that. It was so beautiful, though. We had a large deck and we'd go out each morning and have coffee together before work. The house was on a bluff with 138 steep steps down to the river. We made the trek down the steps occasionally but mostly just enjoyed the lovely view. We had an 18 ft run-about til last week. I used to love water skiing and tubing but after my doctor told me that I must limit my time in the sun because of lupus, we decided there was no point in keeping the boat. Anyway, back to diving, I took just a resort course when we went to Cozumel the first time and absolutely fell in love with scuba diving. Decided to get certified in the week we were there. I'm still pretty green with only 30 dives under my belt. We've been to Cozumel twice. We also dove off Catalina Islands outside Los Angeles while I was on a business trip there. I've dove a few local quarries, but don't like that much. I also dove Vortex Springs in Fla. Tried to dive off the coast in Gulf Shores, FL but ended up losing my cookies both days we tried there because the water was too rough and that was before I discovered transderm scop patches for motion sickness. Well, I'm sure I've bored everyone enough. I may never be able to go back to diving but I'm sure going to try. Of course, I'll make sure to get checked out by a physician who dives prior to returning to it. Don't want to do anything stupid. Take care,
