Hello, My name is Shelby. I am looking forward to having this procedure as

soon as I can. But I can't until January. I am wondering if I am doing

everything in the right order. Maybe you could advise me, since you have

yours all done and have passed?

I E-mailed the info to Dr. Rutledge and got my letter for the insurance

company. Then I faxed it to the insurance company as I thought I was

supposed to do. I have seen my Doctor and got his approval, but he is

waiting for my lab and x-rays to come back before he writes the letter for

the insurance company, and Dr. Rutledge.

Not sure, but is the next thing I do is fill out all those questions for the

doc?

I get all balled up sometimes, cause I am so busy all the time with work and

all, I don't know if I am coming or going.

Thank you for any help you may be able to afford me.

Shelby: Don't wait for your insurance approval. If you are committed enough to

have the surgery go ahead and start the packet and get all the letter written.

It will take a while so get started and don't panic. I do not think I heard

what type of insurance you have, ask and maybe someone else has gone the route

with that insurance. The process takes time so don't expect too much too

fast. Phyllis in Fla.

Hi, Shelby!

You know, as far as I know your PCP (personal doctor at home) doesn't have to

write to the insurance company--the letter Dr. R sends them should more than

suffice. But go to the web site at clos.net and follow his 12 steps. Your

biggest chore is getting the " Packet " ready and submitted to Dr.R. This will

include the letter from your PCP to Dr.R, so keep on your doctor to provide you

with his letter of recommendation along with a full written physical history.

But, as I say, all of this is on the www.clos.net web site and you can't go

wrong if you follow this out.

Good luck to you,

Sperb
