Speaking of friends' reactions....

My best friend has always struggled with her weight -

but she is only about 40 pounds overweight. She said

it isn't fair that people like her who haven't " let

themselves go " aren't able to have this surgery. I

can't believe she has watched me struggle and diet and

lose and gain for 32 years and she is acting like I

have " let myself go " and now have an " easy out " . It

really hurts.
