Guest guest
Hi all, I just wanted to pass on this tidbit. I read in an old post or email (or something...who can remember) about Extended Stay America. It is a suite/studio type of hotel and the rate I got for my mom and I is $260 per week for a Queen bed, and $280 for 2 doubles and $290 for a king (as best as I can recall). It has a fully equipped kitchen and includes a recliner and free local calls. They would not guarantee the double/king, but said they would try (varies by location). The person who had stayed there said it was nice and right across the street from a mall. I called Medstay and they said if you can get those rates directly, do it. It seems to be a few miles closer than Hawthorne and is particularly attractive if you are self-pay. I have posted the location info from the website below, but the address is www.extstay.com for those who want to check it out. Also, they have an affiliate place called Crossland Economy Studios located in the Research Triangle Park that are even cheaper. Hope this helps, Mara Directions: From I-40, take Exit 270 (US Route 15/501/Chapel Hill Durham Blvd.) North towards Durham. Follow US Business Route 15/501 (Chapel Hill Durham Blvd.). Turn left onto Tower Blvd. and travel approximately 200 yards. Extended StayAmerica will be on the right. Guest guest
Hi everyone, when I spoke to Barbara from Dr. R's office she recommended a hotel that works with surgery patients. I can't remember the name of the hotel, but she said it was $39/night and close to the hospital. My father works for the Holiday Inn and got me a rate of $29/night so I didn't pay close attention. It may be worth giving her a call.
