, everything is going to go well for you and you're going to have this

surgery. I feel it. And, you will get approved and a date by this Friday!

I have no super powers, but I feel this so strongly. I have been watching

your posts since day one. Hang in there just a little while longer.

Joyce, Robin and everyone else:

As I have written 19,203,485 times, Dr. R. has had my

packet since 10/30. Barb e-mailed me and said that

Dr. R was reviewing it and I should know something

LAST Friday. NOT!@##!!@!%I have e-mailed, and called

and called and called! I actually got a hold of a girl

today who said she would see where my packet was and

she left me on hold for 100 years and finally said

Barb is in a meeting and will call you back. Of course

I dared my family to even act like they were even

looking at the phone! When I didn't hear from her by

6:00 this evening (Eastern) I called and someone

answered and said the office is closed and they were

just the cleaning crew.

I don't know what the deal is. Maybe I have ticked

them off by calling. I know they are busy but crap

this is my chance to live again! I'm getting a little

nuts waiting!

I were you I would keep calling until I got an answer. I guess since they

have only had my packet since 11/2 I shouldnt be complaining huh??? Keep us

Re: Reviewing your packets:

Lots of the packets that we receive could be done better, they often contain

unreadable faxes and hand written Dr's notes.

We are simply overwhelmed with new patients.

We purchased a new telephone system from GTE and it was overwhelmed and shut

down the first day we plugged it in.

Suggestions:

1) Please consider making your package readable and sending it in all at

once.

If your Dr scribbles an unreadable letter or history and Physical

consider asking to have it typed.

Take your time with your letter. It now has to be 10 pages.

No Big print and Big margins tricks.

2) Please don't call the office. Please consider using email instead.

3) If this waiting with lots of other patients is too stressful, consider a

different Dr with more openings and a more leisurely practice. Lots of

people do well after RNY/VBG etc.

4) Read More on the " Wacky World of "

5) If you want to know what your insurance company is doing consider calling

them and refusing to accept the " you have to call Dr Rutledge " answer.

We have three more Surgeons coming to learn the surgery and we have gotten

financial support for others to be trained.

I expect that if you could wait a year there will be lots of surgeons across

the country using this technique.

If you know of surgeon in your area that might want to come and learn the

Dear Friends,

I went to bed a little early last night so I didn't

read all of posts until this morning. It looks like

I'M IN TROUBLE with the good Dr. LOL, just kidding...

Waiting is sooo hard. I appreciate all of the words

of encouragement! Maybe I won't be so up tight today.

Hi Dr. Rutledge

I spend alot of time reading information from your website and by reading

emails from this group. It has motivated me to finally do something about

myself. I would perfer you to do my surgery.

I would like to volunteer my time to help out in the office. I currently

rotate shifts and can set time aside to help out during the week and on the

weekends.
