Don't Feel Bad

Hi all you wonderful postops. Don't feel bad if you can't make an

instant decision. It took me a year to decide to do this. My problem

was I had to get over the feeling of failure if I had to result to

surgery to lose weight. It took people like the postops to convince me

that no I wasn't a failure at all. This was another proven tool that

has results. Another problem I had was my family. I was scared to

death in getting their support! Luckily, my sister-in-law, who happens

to live in Durham, was my first supporter. She wrote me a letter long

before I decided to do this. My next and final challenge was my

husband. He is the kind of person that needs education. So, my

sister-in-law and I decided we were going to take him to clinic, totally

clueless to what he was getting into. I had already typed up a letter

for him to sign just in case he accepted. At the end of the

discussions, the testimonials from the postops ( you postops were very

instrumental in his decision to support me. KEEP GOING TO CLINIC!),

finally convinced him that this is what I needed. So, I gave him HIS

letter to sign teehee. They both sat there and read it and my

sister-in-law tells him, " wow, you wrote a good letter " . He grinned and

said yea! They both knew he never saw it before that day LOL. So, you

see, take your time, do your research and don't worry if you struggle

with this decision. We are all here for you!!
