Polyethylene glycol is an ingredient in anti-freeze. It is an osmotic laxative and laxatives are not advised for SCD, Carol F. Guest guest
Thanks so much. Ours has no taste. It is polyethylene glycol 3350, NF powder for solution. I took her off it for SCD, but it often helps pain and fissures from Crohns. However, I'm still avoiding at this time. I just thought Elaine said avoid, but one could take if part of their medical routine. I'll continue to avoid. I don't think I would classify a laxative as vital medicine but as Elaine always used to say in jest, " What do I know? " Carol F.
