Question re: maintenance of CP

I was diagnosed at the Mayo Clinic by EUS as having CP (along with

sphincter of oddi dysfunction) back in September of 2004. Since

then I have kept in contact with the doctor there by calling and

speaking with him about every 30 to 60 days. I have been on trials

of different meds and I have been doing well with the calcium

channel blocker for the SOD. I will be calling him at the end of

February to check in with him once again. My question is

this....how often do any of you have repeat EUS's done or any other

maintenance?? I know that checking for pancreatic cancer is of

importance and I certainly want to do this on a regular basis. I

will be asking the doc this very same question BUT I do want others

experiences first! Sometimes I feel that the doctors do not exactly

take things as seriously as I do and I want to keep up with whatever

may happen from here as I get on with life having chronic

pancreatitis.
