Guest guest
Hi Sonja, I eat a lot of salad, fish, cheeses (no cow milk though - lactose intolerant), nuts, beans; and I get about half of my nutrition from protein shakes that are low in sugar, and from soy milk. Sample day for me: -protein shake in the morning or omlette -during the morning - latte with soy milk -lunch- salad with turkey or chicken on it -snack - protein shake -dinner - always depends, but includes about half protein. I sometimes make little meat and cheese roll-ups, or homemade chili, etc. -evening snack sometimes of boiled soy beans in the pod (they're great). If I get a little starch, my blood sugar will spike to around 200, then bottom out around 40. It gets hard on the body! When I bake I use almond or soy flour, or Atkins baking mix. I have it a little easier since the weightloss surgery, cannot eat as much and have zero appetite. Hope that helps a little? -shelli
