Guest guest
That's the one thing I hate about hospitals, starting on a liquid diet. My local hospital give you grape this and grape that..ughhhhhh...and then the only other substitute they could offer me was apple juice which I thought was worse than the grape..so they gripe that i'm not eating anything and can't go home until I do..grrrr..when I was in there for 2 months straight, I told the doctor that i just couldn't tolerate the hospital food, and he allowed my mother to cook for me from home. I had vegetable soups, and when I was allowed, soft vegetables and whatever else he would allow. The hospital I go to for my tumour surgeries are similar, but they lean more to cherry flavoured stuff..just as ughhhh when i'm not feeling well... Now, lemon I could handle or orange or lime, blueberry etc..perhaps I'm just fussy, but I don't drink much juice at home anyway. My last stay there 7 weeks ago, my husband called to say he'd be down by lunchtime to visit me. I told him he was in luck..they were serving his favourite...turkey & gravy with dressing and peas...I ate the mashed potato *LOL*
